God's Creation: Day, Night, and the Stars

Quote from the Bible:

"And God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he also made the stars."

~ Genesis 1: 16 ~

Which reminds me. September in Australia is the first month of the southern spring. It is the season of flowers. Our image is the golden wattle flower. In Australia, there are a number of flower festivals during the month of September, like the Floriade Festival in the nation's capital, Canberra. September 1 has been proclaimed the Wattle Day, the golden wattle (acacia pycnantha), being the national flower of Australia.

Thanking God for His Wondrous Creation

Wherever we are, from early dawn to the beautiful sunsets we have benefited through our lives, we've learnt to be grateful for the beauty of God’s creation. We love the changing of the leaves in autumn. I particularly love the overflow of jacaranda where I live. And more, the stretches of northern beaches and those magnificent seaside cliffs.

You and I, we have many reasons to be thankful for. Aside from already bountiful blessings of God's creation, not only upon receiving something  and those wonderful unexpected gifts from people who owe us nothing, but most expecially the joy of gratitude we feel when we give to others we expect nothing in return.

So wrote Folliott Pierpoint and I quote from the heart, "For the beauty of the earth...  Lord of all to Thee we raise, this our hymn of grateful praise."
