The New Year's stunning fireworks display to welcome 2007 was more dazzling than the previous years. As ever, I'm blessed and proud to be a Sydneysider. The midnight fireworks exploded with abandon.
In awe of the midnight soaring lights' grandeur, I couldn't help but reflect on one thought where all my senses revolved - that over Christmas, God lit a single Star to bring the gladdest news of all - Christ's birth.
Let's give thanks for the year past and for God's gift!
As the theme of this Blogsite: '... then sings my soul,' I take the opportunity to acknowledge a lifelong favourite song "How Great Thou Art" where it was taken from ~ words and music by Carl G. Boberg and R.J. Hughes.
HOW GREAT THOU ART
(First stanza:)
O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the works Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Consider all the works Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
(Refrain:)
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!
