God's grace is sufficient.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
Sometimes we view life as series of rewards and punishments. We often ask "Why do bad things happen to good people?" As if God will only bless us if we are good, and if we are not, then something bad will most likely happen.
We may wonder what we have done wrong that God seems to abandon us when we need Him most. We have to keep reminding ourselves that His ways are not our ways, and He has a reason for all our 'whys' but it's not for us to question God.
If we think that good should come only to those who are truly good, then what happens to grace?
God's grace is sufficient. So many times we say we don’t think we can do it, bearing up under the strain or the pangs of pain. We are afraid. We declare we are simply weak. From dark experiences of illness or being abandoned by friends and people we love, we are reminded once again of this verse of his grace being sufficient.
Grace is sufficient, and it is enough. If it were not enough, God would have made a better provision. How blest we are that God cares but we should let him.
